I had no idea if he would play songs from his new album only or play more songs from his total music works. We found his new, darker sound an almost psychedelic experience on the top of the montejuic in Barcelona. And even though in a total new shape and form, his sound was recognisable for us, but the whole concert was a new surprise. I don't think he has to play what people expect, because during his violin solo the whole crowd showed that they expected him to play recognisable songs as well. But I think you get a fan and travel to a concert for that reason and it would have been extra special if he would have done a little piano music, maybe even with the whole band in a bigger song, but other than that Yann Tiersen is a great experience, the club Sant Jordi is ridiculously expensive!!
