      The Ashes

      The Ashes

The Ashes is the ultimate in sporting competition and is the pinnacle of English Cricket. You can buy Ashes tickets for all games down under starting in November on Seatwave.com. This will be held in Australia so there’s no threat of the English weather spoiling your fun – expect five full days of sun, beers and hopefully England retaining the Urn! Having Ashes tickets in your hand is an unbeatable feeling so don’t miss out. After our last trip down under and the disastrous five-nil defeat at the hands of the Aussies, Strauss’s men need your support down under, so make some plans to get down there this winter. The Boxing day test is one of the most unique events in sport, why spend the day shivering on the turnstiles at Wigan when you can be down under basking in the sunshine and watching world class cricket. You only need to cast your mind back to the series’ in 2005 and 2009 where we were victorious to know that these are classic encounters and this time we go in as slight favourites. Warne, Mcgrath, Gilchrist, Langer and Hayden – the brutes that tormented us throughout the nineties have all been put out to pasture and when you stack up the teams, man against man – England seem to have the advantage. Andrew Strauss showed in 2009 that he can deal with their new ball bowlers, Pietersen confidently fears no one and Trott’s hundred on debut against the Aussies showed that he is more than a match for them and will go into this 2010/2011 Ashes series with bags of confidence. The England middle order looks bedded in and we go into this series with a solid, settled line up, something we’ve not had for what seems like years. Our bowlers now have experience on Australian conditions with our pace men, James Anderson and Stuart Broad being able to extract pace and bounce from the hard, flat Australian pitches. Grabbing Ashes tickets also guarantees some good banter, the Aussies love winding up the English and vice versa but the thousands of England cricket fans that visit Australia every four years are always greeted with open arms and it makes for a unique atmosphere. Expect cricket at its best in the Ashes in 2010/2011 – both teams going full at it, high octane action, wickets flying and sixes entering orbit – grab your Ashes tickets today!

The Ashes 2010/11 was great but I the rating is for this review if you are trying to sell tickets for the next series - it's out of date!
