          T in the Park Festival

          T in the Park Tickets are available now for the 2012 festival on Seatwave.  The Stone Roses have just been announced as the first headline act of Scotlands biggest music festival.

          Exepct more huge names to be added to the bill ion the coming weeks.

          The T in the Park Festival at Balado has been held since 1994 in Kinross-shire, and is promoted by Tennants. Its traditionally the first of the major UK festivals to go on sale each year and the lineups generally go on to play at the other major festivals in England and Ireland each year.  T in the Park is pretty much a barometer of whats going on in the festival scene through the rest of the year, and the lineup in 2011 was huge!

          Directions and Travel Information

          Car parking prices will be determined upon arrival. You will not be able to park overnight without a Weekend Ticket. There will be various drop-off points across the Festival site. If you are travelling by train, the nearest stations are Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow. If you have a T in the Park ticket, you will be able to take a shuttle from the station to the site. It is highly recommended that you book your place on the shuttle. Citylink shuttle services will run from Glasgow (every 10 minutes from Buchanan Bus Station on Friday), Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee all weekend. Direct services will also be available from other major Scottish city centres including Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee. Nearest airports are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Glasgow Prestwick. Citylink T in the Park Shuttle buses will be running to and from all three airports. Booking is recommended.

          Opening Times:

          T in the Park: 9th July - 12th July
          The campsite will open at midday on Friday. It is recommended that you get there as early as possible.
          The campsite will close at midday on Monday.

          Campsite Access:

          You will not be able to access the campsite without a weekend camping ticket.

          Security:

          There will be 24 Hour security for the duration of the festival.

          you cant beat a good festival experience, and what you need for that is a good festival. The most important thing is the lineup, and as craig brown says, this year is better than ever. For the first time in a few years though, he's spot on the money with that one. cant wait to see the foo's live at T in the park, probably the best band in the world ever, and playing in scotland too!

          I bought T in the Park Tickets last year off seatwave, and heard about their great twitter competition this year to win free tickets to see the event, Ive entered and hope to win so I can go on a budget. Even if I dont win the T in the park tickets Im going to go anyway, its by far the best festival in the UK, you can keep your reading festy anytime, go T in the PARK!

          I got T in the park Tickets last year for my birthday and went with a group of friends. We arrived a bit late and had to camp MILES away from the stage area's and it was all muddy and the toilets were all eewwwww.... cant go to it this year because Ive got exams, but want to go to something like glastonbury next year if I can afford it :-)
