Roger Waters

Roger Waters, co-founder of one of the worlds biggest bands in history, Pink Floyd, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time, is currently preparing to tour the legendary “The Wall” in full for the first time in over twenty years. The Wall was performed in 1990 in Berlin following the fall of the Berlin Wall the previous year, and is recognised as one of the biggest performances in Rock history, playing originally to a sell out crowd of 250,000 until the gates were opened and an estimated further 100,000 people entered the site, making the gig, played in front of 350,000 people one of the largest events in music history. Since that 1990 history making performance, the Wall has not been performed in full, but now fans of Roger Waters and Pink Floyd are in for a treat as it is set to be re-enacted in front of sell out crowds in the o2 arena and the MEN arena in Manchester. Also, former pink Floyd founding member David Gilmour is reportedly going to join Roger Waters on stage for one of the performances (but nobody knows which one, nor if this is in fact confirmed, despite strong rumours from both artists that this is indeed the case). The stage is set to be a spectacular mimicking the 170 metre wall that was contructed during the performance in Berlin, then knocked down again during the finale of the event. I saw him in Manchester (the last concert in the UK) and it was absolutely epic! The sound was amazing and the visual effects were stunning. 90£ well spend - I would happily have paid three times that amount. Now I just have to wait for the DVD...

We were at the M.E.N Arena last nigth, and it was the best concert ever!!!!!!!!!! Roger Water was on for the first minute he was on the stage! We mised him i Copenhagen, so we went from Denmark to Manchester to see The Wall and good for us!! Jeanette and Michael

Awful. Karaoke band, Roger waters has no stage presence. Nostalgia? Well no , 30 years later it isn't relevant despite him to trying to make us think about Iraq, sorry don't buy it. I liked him when I was 15, it was a mistake to meet my hero. He needs to retire.

Never in my life will I witness such a special night. Sooooooooo lucky to be there on Thursday 12 to be part of the Waters and Gilmore reunion. Awwwwsome man !!!

A truely awesome concert - Roger Waters at his very best. He still commands a presence. Visuals and effects unbelievable and very moving in places. Fabulous special guest appearance by David Gilmore and Nick Mason made the concert one to remember for ever!

Went to O2 on 12th May to a packed stadium, the noise was electric and then on came Roger Waters, the cheers and the noise hit new heights. Fantastic! 'The Wall', the whole show was amazing the gradual building of the wall through the show to knocking it down at the end, the solo guitar of David Gilmour, right down to the flying pig, what a feast. Not being a hardened fan, just like some of Pink Floyd's music, I have to say this was one of the best concerts I have ever been to.
