          Rod Stewart

          Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart was born in London, to Scottish parents at the end of the second world war. Originally he left school to pursue a promising football career, but he soon abandoned that to become one of the best selling and most recognisable singers that this country has ever produced. Selling over 100 million albums in his career that has spanned nearly 50 years, Rod Stewart has become ingrained into British society with some of the best known songs in post war Britain, including “Maggie May”, “Sailing”, “Do ya Think Im Sexy” and “Tonights the Night”. His musical style has evolved over the years, taking in genre’s from Rock, to Soul, Pop and Blues, he has also worked with a number of bands, most famously Faces and the Jeff Beck Group, but he was also the original lead singer of the Kinks, despite never featuring on any of their recordings following some discourse with other members of the equally influential group. Rod Stewart is a well known supporter of Celtic Football Club, and the Scotland team, even mentioning both in songs that he has written, and currently resides between Los Angeles Carlifornia, and Epping in Essex. In the late 1980s at the height of his international popularity, “Rod the Mod” Stewart was frequently playing to sell out crowds of nearing 100,000 people a time, famously in South America during his world tour, he sold out 90,000 capacity venues and left thousands of fans outside trying to secure entrance. You don’t need to worry about any scenes like that though and can get your Rod Stewart Tickets right here on Seatwave, Europe’s largest fan to fan ticket exchange. All good songs but sound system bad . Norwich - Could not hear words of songs or get what he said when he spoke . We were at far end of stand facing stage. Everyone was saying the same. Backing too loud and mics too sizzly. What a shame .Sound checks needed at farest point away. Sorry Rod they let you down. Inside shows always good.

These tickets were a surprise birthday present for a family member who has wanted to see Rod for 30 years. She had an amazing night saying it was the best night ever. although it took nearly 3 weeks to get the tickets and customer services were no help, finally got the tickets on Wednesday 1st June after calling them twice and numerous emails. Would not recommend these to anyone

Attended the show in Swansea last night (1 June 2011) and was hugely disappointed with the sound quality. Rod's stage performance looked slick enough, but his voice was lost on all the up tempo numbers in a sea of muddy sound from the band. No excuses for poor engineering in this day and age. Left the stadium before his encore to get out of the huge car park before the traffic queues formed. Needn't have rushed as the car park was already half empty from concert goers who had left before me. Pity.

After a 29 year wait, I was lucky enough to be given tickets to take clients on the 3rd June at the O2 by my company (I cried the whole time as I was so over whelmed by the sheer fantasticness of Rod Stewart) I loved it so much that as soon as I found out he had another gig at the O2 on the 28th July (a month later) I had to get tickets and take my mum.... Also another avid Rod Stewart Fan.... now looking to see if he has any more tour dates - I thought it was that good...
