Seatwave named official ticket
partner
LONDON: 12 October 2009 - Seatwave, Europe's leading fan-to-fan
ticket exchange (1.5 million unique visitors - comScore, July
2009), has partnered with In The City, the UK's international
music festival, to become the exclusive ticket seller for the ITC
Live music weekend.
Manchester city centre will come to life between 18 and 20
October as 150 signed and unsigned bands take to the streets
showcasing their music to the public. Tickets for ITC Live are
available exclusively on Seatwave making the event easily
accessible to fans.
A major fixture in the music industry calendar, this is the
first year that ITC Live is opening its doors and selling tickets
to ordinary fans. Tickets are available on www.seatwave.com and promoted
through the ITC website.
Fans attending the event will receive their weekend wristbands
on the day, allowing them access to multiple venues and bars across
Manchester. Showcases confirmed include NME Radar, BBC Introducing,
Now Wave, SJM Concerts, Big Scary Monsters, Swn, Front Magazine,
Love Music Hate Racism, Same Teens, Future Sounds, Drowned in
Sound, Rock Sound, Fierce Panda, Sentric and Murkage amongst many
others.
Since tickets went on sale last month ITC has catapulted into
tenth position in Seatwave's table of the top 10 festivals for
2009; putting it ahead of Download, Secret Garden Party and Isle of
Wight.
Commenting on the partnership, Joe Cohen, Founder and CEO of
Seatwave, said:
"This is an exciting step forward for Seatwave. Becoming the
exclusive partner to ITC ensures that more fans have access to
tickets for this up-and-coming event. With an amazing line-up
confirmed it's no surprise that ITC Live has entered our top ten
festival chart for 2009."
