Plan B
Ben Drew aka Plan B has become one of the UK’s most loved performers in recent years and is now on an expansive UK Tour. Plan B has become a huge star and is now touring the UK’s largest arenas, quite an achievement from a boy from Forest Hilll. Plan B tickets are currently a hot commodity out there as thousands are clambering to see this man play live. Plan B came into consciousness in 2006 when he released his critically acclaimed LP “Who needs actions when you got words”. This LP was pushed massively in the press pitching Drew as the next white rapping hope, but this time wielding an acoustic guitar and an occasional falsetto voice. Alas record sales did not match the critical acclaim with the LP tanking in the UK charts and failing to dent the top 30. Plan B took this on the chin and disappeared for a couple of years with his loyal fans wondering if he would ever return. This all changed when he starred in the Michael Caine Brit flick Harry Brown. He also featured on the soundtrack and his collab with Chase and Status called “End credits” became a monster hit and gave Plan B his first ever top ten single. He then shocked everyone with a re-invention, ditching his angry man rap and becoming a suited soul singer with his LP “The Defamation of Strickland Banks”. A lot of people raised eye brows at this but the results have been incredible with Plan B being taken to peoples hearts and selling mp3 by the bucketload!
