Summer 2008 sees the Games of the XXIX Olympiad arrive in Beijing. From August 8th to August 24th the Chinese capital will be awash with athletes at the top of their game, all competing for that gold medal.
The games have thrown up some masterful displays in all sports over the years. Carl Lewis in 1984; Sir Steve Redgrave in LA, Seoul, Barcelona, Atlanta and Sydney; Cathy Freeman on her home soil in 2000 and lets not forget the great Jesse Owens’ four gold medals in the face of such adversity in 1938.
