His latest tour of stadium arenas throughout the UK and Ireland was met by rapturous appreciation by audiences and critics alike, demonstrating just how much he has retained that star appeal that first set him on the path towards fame and fortune so many years ago.

It is therefore no surprise that the legendary performer was recently commemorated with an inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along such god like figures such as Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry.

Shortly after it was announced that the 71 year old song writer would be joining the prestigious list he told of the sense of comradeship he feels with the rest of its members.

“I feel a sense of camaraderie with all of those people. We’ve shared the same life and been through the same bumpy roads and beautiful clear skies. I feel very lucky to have been able to do this for a lifetime,” he said.

Like the rest of the inductees, Neil Diamond has dedicated his life to his art and brought joy to millions of fans across the world.

Diamond shows London he’s still got it By: Elizabeth Leight18 July 2011

Having Neil Diamond tickets for his recent London shows meant seeing the singer on top form. We’d expect little else from a man who’s shown amazing talent as both a musician and performer throughout decades of dazzling us with hit songs that have become lifelong classics.

The singer has never had trouble getting good reviews, and write-ups of his concert series at the O2 Arena in London are certainly no exception. The London Evening Standard praised him for his crowd-pleasing skills, and experienced ability to put on a good show. “At his first London arena show in three years he got on the sparkly shirt, got out the greatest hits and delivered a tried and tested show that was never less than brilliant fun.”

A review in The Independent describes moments in the concert that show Diamond as a seasoned star, an innovative musician and an iconic performer. “You instantly sense how this trouper in his 71st year strives to make every crowd from Cape Town to Glasgow feel a personal connection. Yet for much of the two-hour set, Neil Diamond remains impossible to resist.”

Comments from these shows on Diamond’s official site are equally as approving. People with Neil Diamond tickets haven’t wasted any time in telling the singer just what they thought of the concert. “The voice has got better and it was my 6th concert over 30 years,” wrote one fan. Another said. “Was at the O2 Monday night, great show as always. Neil, you never disappoint! Please come back again soon!”

Neil Diamond reveals the truth behind Sweet Caroline By: Lauren Johnson-Ginn16 July 2011

Fans with Neil Diamond tickets may be familiar with the well-known story that the singer’s hit Sweet Caroline was written about JFK’s daughter, Caroline Kennedy. However, in a recent interview with the Independent Ireland, the singer revealed that this is something of an urban myth.

“It’s not true at all.” Diamond explained. “Caroline Kennedy’s name did occur to me when I was writing the song, and it was my final choice among a number of other names, but that’s as close as Caroline Kennedy got to the story. But I’m glad she likes the song. I’ve been asked to sing it at her birthday a few times.”

He continued: “The title of the song was inspired by Caroline Kennedy’s name, but the story that the song told was the story of my wife at the time. It was our story. But Caroline’s name stuck and I put it where it felt right.”

Diamond is renowned for his incredible songwriting talent, and has penned hits for many other artists, including I’m a Believer for the Monkees and Red Red Wine for UB40. Although he turned 70 this year, he completed a hugely successful tour of the UK and shows no signs of slowing down or retiring.

Although the tour has now come to an end, Neil Diamond tickets are sure to be on sale for future events, so keep your eyes peeled!

Universal appeal for Neil Diamond By: Andy Hirst16 July 2011

If you had to narrow down the type of person who would buy a pair of Neil Diamond tickets to just one person you would be hard pressed.

The veteran singer, whose career has spanned nearly half a century, has performed all over the world and topped charts with an eclectic and varied back catalogue of hit singles and albums.

Audiences at his recent series of massive shows at arenas all across the UK and Ireland will be able to testify that the multimillion selling singer is yet to show any signs of diminishing with age.

Not only did he keep audiences spellbound for over two hours at a time, he even found time to show some of he luckier audience members how much they mean to him with a lingering romantic kiss.

Though many a fan would be happy to receive such a personal touch from a Neil Diamond concert, many of his fans appreciate the legendary performer for more varied reasons.

With dozens and dozens of his classic singles covered by other renowned artists, his phenomenal song writing talents have been noted not only by fans and fellow artists, but also by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of fame, in which he was recently immortalized.

Despite turning 70 earlier this year, the award winning superstar shows no sign of slowing down, and continues to tour prolifically.

Anyone who missed out on Neil Diamond tickets for his latest show ought not to miss out when he next sets out on the road.

Neil Diamond continues to amaze his audiences By: Andy Hirst16 July 2011

Neil Diamond tickets have been met by exceptional demand throughout his recent UK tour and from the comments made by appreciative reviewers, it is no surprise why.

Despite turning 70 earlier this year, the decade spanning superstar has shown no sign of letting up with age and if anything has given his audiences even more than they ever had come to expect.

With more than 120 million album sales under his belt and a recent addition to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, the award winning songwriter needs little in the way of criticla praise to persuade his devoted fans of his show stopping abilities.

Hundreds of thousands of lucky fans had the chance to catch a glimpse of the legendary performer at a string of massive stadium shows across the UK and Ireland.

One reviewer at his recent London 02 show wrote: ” Neil Diamond’s most recent albums have a solemn gravitas that has earned the old showman an almost unprecedented level of critical approval for him as he reaches his 70th year. But solemn gravitas doesn’t lift bums from seats, so at his first London arena show in three years he got on the sparkly shirt, got out the greatest hits and delivered a tried and tested show that was never less that brilliant fun.”

Although his tour has drawn to a close for the time being, the veteran singer is relentless in his desire to keep enchanting audiences with his classic repertoire of popular hits and will surely be giving those who missed out on getting Neil Diamond tickets, another chance soon.

Neil Diamond dazzles at the O2 By: Lauren Johnson-Ginn14 July 2011

There was fierce demand for Neil Diamond tickets when it was first announced that the 70-year-old rock legend would be touring the UK.  And, in spite of Diamond’s age, he certainly didn’t disappoint with his series of rabble-rousing performances.

The tour concluded yesterday in epic style at London’s O2 arena, and according to a review in the Independent, the Sweet Caroline singer was on top form, getting the balance between showbiz and subtlety “just right”.  Reviewer Chris Mugan wrote:

“A wide-ranging set covers the whole of his US melting-pot style, veering from Nashville balladry to pre-Motown soul, even African sounds on Soolaimon. His hands thrust out to conduct song-endings, but Diamond controls the stage with an economy of movement and a rich, rolling voice made for leaping across arenas.”

The septuagenarian has certainly justified his inclusion in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, and his recent inauguration as a Billboard Icon. With a career that spans five decades, Diamond has produced numerous classic songs, including Cracklin’ Rosie and Forever in Blue Jeans.

On top of this, Diamond has written several tracks that have been successfully recorded by other artists, including I’m A Believer and Red Red Wine, released by the Monkees and UB40 respectively.

Although Diamond’s UK tour has now drawn to a close, he has repeatedly expressed his love for performing, and there will no doubt be opportunities to get Neil Diamond tickets for future concerts.

Neil Diamond: “Performing is the easy part” By: Greg Hall14 July 2011

He may have a reputation as a suave silver fox, but ladies man Neil Diamond is rather more bashful when not singing: “It’s very difficult for me to say ‘I love you’ but to sing ‘I love you’ for me is easier.” Lucky fans who had Neil Diamond tickets for the music legend’s final UK show at London’s O2 arena can no doubt attest to his effortless and captivating performance style.

Having topped the charts for decades, perhaps his longevity has been down to the way his approach to performing has evolved: “I came back to performing with a different attitude about performing and myself. I wasn’t expecting perfection any more, just hoping for an occasional inspiration.”

Fans with Neil Diamond tickets have definitely been inspired by the stunning repertoire of the singer/songwriter, with timeless hits like Solitary Man and Cracklin’ Rosie. His on-stage passion amuses him on reflection: “I’ve looked at photographs of myself during concerts and it sometimes looks as if I’m in a fencing move, with a guitar in my hands instead of a sword.”

But for the Brooklyn-born crooner gigging is the easy part: “Performing is the easiest part of what I do, and songwriting is the hardest. Songwriting is different from music, although I don’t deny now that it would be nice to have a little more background in music theory. There’s a mystery to writing, and you don’t really know where most of it comes from.”

Sir Elton John loves singing Sweet Caroline on karaoke By: Greg Hall13 July 2011

How iconic is this man? Well, when another icon like Sir Elton John says: “How many times have I sung Sweet Caroline on karaoke? It’s one of the best songs you can sing!” you know that getting Neil Diamond tickets should be on your list of things to do before you die.

“Old age” is merely words for the Jewish Elvis, who at 70 is still cracklin’ like Rosie. With his UK tour having been even better than anticipated, it concludes in glorious fanfare tonight at London’s O2 arena.

Fans with Neil Diamond tickets are treated to his tongue-in-cheek brand of dynamic showmanship and they keep coming back for more. A good example of the singer’s wit was highlighted when he tweeted prior to a sell-out show in Berlin in June: “Last time we played Berlin was 10 days before the wall came down (22 years ago). Will celebrate at show tomorrow night!”

Don’t be shocked if the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer is playing with passion to crowds when he is 80. The singer, who is loved by newer artists like Adele, has a profound attitude to songwriting and music:

“I’ve always thought of music as something which gives the words their flight and their wings and the music often comes first, although sometimes I’ll have a concept, a title idea, a lyric idea that I want to write and the lyric will come first.”

Don’t miss your chance to see this true legend perform live on the final night of his UK tour - Neil Diamond tickets are available to buy and sell at Seatwave.

Neil Diamond kisses fan at London’s O2 arena By: Lauren Johnson-Ginn13 July 2011

One lucky fan got more than she bargained for, after she bought Neil Diamond tickets for a recent concert at London’s O2 arena and received a smooch from the singer in the middle of the show – no doubt making the rest of the audience thoroughly jealous.

Evening Standard reviewer David Smyth gave an account of the amorous encounter in a review of the show. He wrote: “Even the unscripted moments seemed right. He got down on his knees for a quick smooch from an audience member who looked as if she would have yanked him down onto her knee if she could.”

The kiss at the O2 isn’t the first on the tour, however. At a concert in Birmingham, another female fan was treated to a bit of tonsil tennis as Diamond performed the classic Girl, You’ll be a Woman Soon.

Diamond reportedly asked the audience “Am I in heaven?” before addressing the fan: “You kiss very good, wow – are all the girls in this area like you?”

Having been married and divorced twice, Diamond is currently free and single, which is good news for ladies in the front row at his gigs. However, the legendary singer has stated that he’s comfortable in his own company, and if he’s to be in a relationship, it must be with a woman who “understands his work ethic”.

Although the tour is now almost over, Neil Diamond tickets are still on sale for his final date at the O2 arena, which takes place this evening.

Neil Diamond has always been a hit with the ladies By: Andy Hirst12 July 2011

Any female fan with Neil Diamond tickets for his remaining UK shows will tell you that he has always been a hit with the ladies. Ever since he started in the music business five decades ago, he has been able to turn heads with his vocal abilities, as well as his charming good looks.

Even now, at the age of 70, he retains a certain appeal with women of all ages, as was demonstrated at a recent performance in Birmingham ,when he made one lucky fan’s day with not one but two kisses, during a performance of Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon.

However, the multi award-winning songwriter and performer has not always been lucky in love, despite his fame and fortune. Twice married and twice divorced, he is currently single and in a recent interview with the Independent on Sunday, he explained “I need a woman who understands my work ethic.”

And quite a work ethic it is too! Few stars at his age have maintained quite such prolific careers. Not only does Diamond continue to make hit records for his fans – he also embarks on lengthy world tours.

After dates in Europe and New Zealand, the star, who was recently immortalised in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, has come to the UK to finish off the tour with a series of stadium performances to huge crowds.

There’s still a chance for fans to catch a glimpse of the star in action and pick up some Neil Diamond tickets for his final show at London’s 02 Arena.

Neil Diamond is never happier than when on stage By: Andy Hirst12 July 2011

The thousands of fans with Neil Diamond tickets for his final UK show are set to see a star who is as enthusiastic about performing live as he has ever been before. Despite turning 70 earlier this year, the multi-million selling artist shows no sign of relenting with his hectic tour schedule.

Whereas other musicians have slowed down in their later years, Diamond continues to go from strength to strength and even earned his place in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame earlier this year.

In a recent interview with the Independent on Sunday, he explained why he still does it:

“Because I’m never happier than when I’m on the stage,” he said. “Sure life on the road can be hard going but there’s always a friendly face around somewhere, there’s always a poker game to be had, or someone to take a walk with out my hotel. I’m very comfortable with what I do. I’ve been doing it a long time.”

More than half a century since he first started in the music business, the veteran star still shines as bright as anyone else touring today when it comes to keeping his crowds happy.

With such an extensive repertoire of hits to choose from, it’s hard to find a music fan who doesn’t love something about the singer, whose hits range from moving ballads to upbeat toe-tappers, which have been successfully covered by some of the most famous artists in the industry.

As his latest tour draws to a close with a grand finale at London’s O2 arena, there is still a chance for fans to get hold of a pair of Neil Diamond tickets and see the legendary performer doing his thing up on stage – his natural habitat.

Neil Diamond kisses fan at Birmingham show By: Andy Hirst11 July 2011

Lucky fans with Neil Diamond tickets for his remaining shows at London’s 02 arena might get more than they bargained for if they play their cards right.

One delighted audience member at his recent performance in Birmingham got up close and personal with the veteran singer, when he stooped down to give her a kiss during his performance of Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon.

According to the Daily Mail, the multi-million selling septuagenarian sent the crowd into a frenzy when he bent down on one knee to give the lucky lady not one but two kisses during his performance.

He then asked the crowd: “Am I in heaven?” before complimenting the smitten fan by saying: “You kiss very good, wow – are all girls in the area like you?”

After his brief romantic interlude, the award-winning singer, who was recently inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, got back to delighting the crowd with his vocal talents rather than his kissing abilities.

With a career spanning five decades, including countless hit singles, there was no shortage of material to keep those audience members satisfied – even those who missed out on getting a kiss.

As his epic series of hotly anticipated stadium shows throughout the UK and Ireland draws to a close, there are still two shows remaining at London’s 02 arena.

Following his appreciative audience interaction, the thousands of fans who have already bought Neil Diamond tickets for the shows will be waiting all the more eagerly to see just what the award-winning lothario has in store for them.

Neil Diamond braves the heat to get rave reviews By: Andy Hirst11 July 2011

Fans with Neil Diamond tickets that are looking forward to his upcoming shows at London’s O2 arena will be encouraged to hear that the veteran singer has been on top form throughout the rest of his tour.

His recent performances at the MEN arena in Manchester received a rave review from the Manchester Evening News, despite the overwhelming heat.

The reviewer wrote: “Any worries that Neil might give a below par performance due to the stifling heat evaporated as quickly as the water from his face. And his voice is as powerful as ever. Singing Red Red Wine, the audience was reminded of just how many songs he’s written that others have successfully covered.”

In a career that has spanned five decades and seen record sales reach 120 million; the award-winning star has no shortage of crowd-pleasing material to keep his audiences happy.

And despite turning 70 earlier this year, he shows no signs of lethargy throughout his two hour show. The sprightly singer battled through the heat to keep churning out hit after hit, resting only to entertain the audience with anecdotes of his life, and thoughtful comments about the years in which his best songs were written.

Audiences throughout the tour have responded with just as much energy and enthusiasm as the singer himself. Upbeat numbers have them dancing in the aisles, while the slow ballads have them swaying gently in appreciation.

With just two dates remaining in his tour of the UK and Ireland, lucky fans with Neil Diamond tickets look set to be in for a treat.

Neil Diamond’s magic musical circle By: Greg Hall10 July 2011

A seasoned stalwart of rock ‘n’ roll; the sparkle, the enthusiasm and the magic hasn’t left this legend – as fans with Neil Diamond tickets will testify. With the concluding leg of his UK tour taking place in London, it truly is a privilege to witness an entertainer who originates from a rich musical circle.

In the 1960s as a college dropout, working in the entertainment hub of New York’s Tin-Pan Alley as a struggling young writer in the famed Brill Building, he encountered the genius of artists such as Burt Bacharach, Carole King and Lieber & Stoller.

He reflected on the matter in an interview with The Daily Telegraph in 2010: “They were already established. They were recognised as great writers and they were. Burt had written for and produced Dionne Warwick, Lieber and Stoller were like gods, and Carole King was a prodigy. I was just a guy knocking around on the streets trying to get some of my dumb songs heard.”

Ever modest, the man nicknamed the Jewish Elvis’ ‘dumb songs’ are now so revered that the rush for Neil Diamond tickets during his latest tour has been frantic. He believes The Beatles paved the way for singer/songwriters like himself.

“First of all, the writing of Lennon and McCartney signaled the emancipation of the songwriter, but suddenly the songwriter was on a par with the big stars – these guys could not only write but they could sing as well.”

Departing Diamond makes Mondays sparkle By: Greg Hall10 July 2011

The Boom Town Rats famously sang ‘tell me why I don’t like Mondays’, and in general, Mondays are not the most fun day of the week. But his coming Monday evening (July 11) will no doubt prove to be the exception to the rule for lucky fans with Neil Diamond tickets, when the silver-haired maestro illuminates London’s O2 arena. They are also set to be his last shows on these shores.

So far, he has rousingly uplifted, entranced and generally brought down the house, pleasing concert-goers from Birmingham to Dublin. To say his performances in the UK capital are highly anticipated would be a big understatement.

In celebration of the grande finale of his British concerts, here are a few facts to wet the whistle of devoted followers with Neil Diamond tickets:

          1. UB40 reggae-influenced UK and US chart-topping hit Red Red Wine was originally written by Diamond.

          2. The song Shilo is about Diamond’s childhood imaginary friend.

          3. Diamond studied at New York University as a Pre-Med Major. He eventually quit studying to work in New York’s famous musical epicentre Tin Pan Alley, in pursuit of his big break.

          4. His first gold album was Touching You, Touching Me in 1969.

          5. His first top ten hit was in 1966 with Cherry, Cherry - the same year his song I’m a Believer went to number one, performed by The Monkees.

          6. Sweet Caroline was about President J.F. Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline.

Neil Diamond rocks Dublin By: Chris Olson08 July 2011

Music legend Neil Diamond recently played an outstanding show at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The concert was part of his current UK tour, taking place on a warm Saturday evening in late June in front of a large and excitable crowd, and included a nice selection of the man’s best loved songs.

Anyone who has Neil Diamond tickets for upcoming shows should be very excited if this performance is anything to go by.

Opening the concert in Dublin was one of last year’s X Factor contestants Mary Byrne, a woman loved by her Irish fans, and someone with a big enough voice to entertain a Neil Diamond-sized audience.

According to the Irish Times, the gig was a complete sell-out, with all forty thousand tickets being purchased, and it was only the third time in ten years that Diamond has played Ireland.

During the show, many of his earlier songs were revisited and played, creating an exciting nostalgia amongst many listeners, and the big songs like I’m A Believer and Sweet Caroline went down very well. Playing all in black, Diamond brought with him the rough and edgier allure he was once so famous for – and lucky fans with Neil Diamond tickets were treated to a sentimental but hugely entertaining show.

Neil Diamond fans all across the world still flock to his concerts, and this latest tour has been extremely popular. With only a few more shows to go, Neil Diamond tickets are available to buy and sell at Seatwave, so don’t miss out!

Neil Diamond needs someone who “understands his work ethic” By: Lauren Johnson-Ginn07 July 2011

He’s sold millions of records around the world, penned a raft of pop classics, been formally recognised as a musical icon – and now he’s embarked on a hugely anticipated UK tour, at the considerable age of 70. Fans have followed his work for decades and now they have the opportunity to buy Neil Diamond tickets for his upcoming concerts at London’s O2 arena.

You might be tempted to think that with so much success and so many accolades, Diamond’s life would be more or less complete. But, after two divorces, it seems that he’s still searching for love – even if he’s come to terms with being in his own company.

Speaking candidly to the Independent in a recent interview, Diamond explained how his fame, hectic schedule, frequent trips away from home – and being universally adored – inevitably put a strain on his marriages. He also reiterated that work is always his top priority:

“My dedication to my work has never wavered and, really, I don’t see that chemistry changing. I need to be with a woman who understands my work ethic and is secure enough not to be threatened by it.”

He continued: “I don’t take the adoration seriously. It’s one of the things that I have to deal with, but it doesn’t keep my feet warm at night. You have to get off stage, and when you do, you’re as mortal as anyone.”

If you’d like to see this music legend perform all his best loved-classics live on stage, don’t miss out on your chance to get Neil Diamond tickets for upcoming shows at the O2 arena in London. The tour concludes on July 13.

Diamond’s hot July night in Manchester By: Elizabeth Leight07 July 2011

It’s not just Neil Diamond tickets that are hot right now – the performer himself is sizzling during his UK tour as temperatures rise both outside and on stage.

The iconic singer/songwriter has a few gigs in Manchester before he heads south to London to finish his UK concert series – there are still Neil Diamond tickets available for those shows.

According to a review of his Monday show in the Manchester Evening News, Diamond came out on the stage saying, “Geez, it’s hot in here”. He then asked for the air-conditioning to be turned up after singing Soolaimon, Beautiful Noise and Forever in Blue Jeans. “I’ve got to calm down here ‘cuz we’ve got two hours to go,” he explained.

However, the heat didn’t affect his performance, and Diamond gave the crowd the hits they wanted to hear, as well as a selection from his covers album, Dreams. The evening took a more serious note when Diamond talked about his late Jewish grandmother – one of his inspirations – and also reminisced about life in the 1960s.

“Thank God for the music, because that was a terrible time,” he said, mentioning the many who were killed in the Vietnam War as well as the assassinations of President Kennedy, his brother Bobby, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.

Diamond reminded the audience about the good music of that time by playing classic hits such as I’m a Believer and Sweet Caroline. Experience the heat from his performance yourself by grabbing Neil Diamond tickets while you still can – check out what’s available on Seatwave.
