This five-piece are based on the famous Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London. An Island with a recording studio owned by none other than Pete Townsend and a hotel that has played host to performers such as Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Who and many more. There is certain mysticism around the island, especially when the Eel Pie Hotel burned down in 1971 following a mysterious fire. The Mystery Jets have certainly used this mysticism to their advantage, their music is unusual and progressive to say the least.
