Well respected by the metal elite, Meshuggah are considered to be one of the bands that shaped the genre of math rock. Their name is taken from the Hebrew and Yiddish word for 'crazy' and this description is apt. Their music encompasses incredibly technical and complex rhythms which are played with aggression, intensity and power. It sounds completely chaotic to some and yet amazingly structured to others, something that can only be created by the most talented of musicians.
