Lightspeed Champion's MySpace has the band down as Grunge/Classica/Powerpop. A strange mix that may be but it certainly works. Lightspeed Champion is formed of Devonte "Dev" Hynes on vocals and assisted by country scenesters Nate Walcott, Clark Baechle and Emmy The Great. Together, they have created an indie band that leans heavily into country-folk with undertones of grunge-pop. Weird but great.
