Buying tickets - The buying process

  1. I've found the tickets I want. How do I buy them?

    Once you've found the tickets you're looking for, simply click on 'Buy'. You'll then be led through our simple, single-page secure payment process. Here, you'll be able to select how many tickets you want to buy and where you want the tickets delivered. Log in to make buying tickets even simpler.

  2. How do I change the quantity of tickets I want to buy?

    Once you have selected the listing that has the tickets you're after, click on 'Buy'. This will take you through to our simple, secure buy process where you will be able to select how many tickets you're looking to purchase. Simply choose from the options available alongside How many in the first grey box.

  3. What is included in Seatwave's commission?

    Seatwave charges buyers a 15% commission on tickets purchased. This allows us to continue to deliver a safe and transparent marketplace and to provide a passionate team of people dedicated to customer service. It also covers all our buyers with our unique TicketIntegrity™and TicketCover™guarantees.

  4. Once I've found the tickets I want and press 'buy', are these tickets reserved for me?

    Once you select your tickets, they are reserved for approxilmately five minutes. So you have time to go and grab your credit card out of the drawer. This means that for the next five minutes, these tickets are not available for any other Seatwave user to buy. If you do not complete your purchase within five minutes, these tickets will be released back into the general listings pool and made available to everyone on the Seatwave marketplace. To confirm your order, you will need to select Place your order on the final payemnt process.

  5. Can I reserve tickets while I look around and compare?

    Once you have selected tickets, they are reserved for you for five minutes to allow you to complete the payment process. After this time, they will be listed again on the site for general sale.

  6. What payment methods does Seatwave accept?

    Seatwave accepts payment by debit card, all major credit cards and Paypal.

  7. When is my card or Paypal account charged?

    Your credit card, debit card or Paypal account is charged when the purchase of the ticket is made, when you select Place your order.

  8. How do you guarantee a secure payment transaction?

    Seatwave uses advanced encryption to ensure that your private information stays that way. We have been verified by Verisign, Hackersafe and Truste to this effect.

  9. Why do you need my email address?

    We require your email address to register your Seatwave account. Within My Account, you will be able to keep track of all your orders and their status. Your email address is also where we'll send your order confirmation, ticket dispatch confirmation and other important information relating to your ticket purchase.

  10. Why do you need my mobile number?

    We require a contact number, preferably a mobile, so that we can get in touch if we have any urgent information or queries about your order.

  11. How can I be sure I'll receive my tickets in time?

    Our TicketIntegrity™ guarantee commits us to making sure your seller gets your tickets to you in good time for the event. In the very unlikely event that your seller is unable to do so, we'll source replacement tickets for you so you don't miss out. If we are unable to source replacement tickets, we will ensure you receive your a full refund of every penny paid.

  12. How do I know if my order has been confirmed?

    You should receive an order confirmation email from us shortly after booking. If you cannot see an email from us, please check your spam or junk mail box as it may have been diverted there by mistake. Your order will also be visible within your order details of My Account. If you are unable to locate any record of your ticket purchase, please contact us here.

  13. What do I do if my billing address is different to my delivery address?

    If you would like your tickets sent to an address other than your billing address, you can let us know when you're buying your tickets. Once you have input your bililng address, you will be given an option to provide an alternative delivery address. If you have already purchased your tickets and would like to change your delivery address, you can request this change here.

  14. Why does it ask me to log in when I'm buying tickets?

    If you already have an account with us, log in when purchasing tickets and we'll retrieve your stored address information which will make buying tickets easier and quicker. You'll also then be able to see all your prior order history in My Account.

  15. How do I use my Seatwave discount code?

    Click on the discount code link, located just underneath the total price of your purchase. You can then enter your discount code and select Update price to see the new price of your ticket purchase.

  16. How are the delivery charges calculated?

    Tickets originate in the country of the event for which you are buying. Delivery charges are calculated based on the time until an event and the location of your chosen delivery address.

  17. Which country do I need to specify in the delivery options?

    Delivery charges are partly based on your chosen delivery address. To ensure that your delivery charges are correctly calculated, please select the country of your chosen delivery address in the drop-down box titled Delivery to.
