        Guns N Roses

        Guns N Roses

Formed in the mid eighties in Los Angeles, California, Guns ’n’ Roses (or GnR) were named after the founding members, Tracii Guns and Axl Rose. Tracii left the group shortly before the recording of their first EP, “Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide” and opened the door for the now legendary guitarist Slash, to take his place as lead guitarist in the emerging group. The EP was met with some enthusiasm by fans that had picked up on the group during their time playing the club scene on the West coast of the US, but it was nothing compared to the huge surge in popularity that followed the release of their debut album in 1987, Appetite for Destruction. The album itself was met with astounding reviews by almost every critic that heard it, with some proclaiming it the best Rock album since the Stones, and overshadowing every other Hard Rock album of the late 80s. It went on to sell over 28 million copies and is to this day the highest selling debut album of all time. This huge success was mirrored by the albums followup, an ambitious double album “Use your Illusions I & II” which debuted in first and second on the Billboard hot 100 albums when they were launched. These albums galvanised guns n roses’ popularity as the greatest Rock Band of their generation. Since forming GnR have now sold over 100,000,000 albums in their history, spanning twenty five years and are only behind the Rolling Stones and AC/DC in all time sales for their niche. Their live performance pedigree was cemented in the Use your Illusions world tour that lasted a record breaking 28 months, and played 192 sell-out nights to audiences across the world including sellout stadium gigs across the US, South America, Europe and Asia. Guns n Roses are currently touring their new album, Chinese Democracy which itself is recordbreaking, being the most expensive album in music history, costing over 16 million dollars to produce, and took a record 15 years to release. When Guns n Roses tour its always an incredible spectacle, so don’t wait another moment, get your guns n roses tickets today on Seatwave.com – Europe’s largest fan to fan ticket exchange.

This was going to one of those concerts that was going to be very good or very bad - unfortunately it was the latter, we arrived expcting GnR to arrive on stage late but did not expect them to roll up at 10.30pm without a kiss my arse or anything. Vocals and sound very poor, and due to the late start lots of people (including us) had to leave early, he also spent most of the night running on and off stage leaving the band to play in his abscence - really not worth the ticket price, I think Axel should have stayed in retirement - quite sad really considering what they once were.

show should have started at 7:30 but it didnt start till 10:30 , everyone was complaining ,some just left and some said they would never come to another gnr concert. we went by train and had a return train booked for 11:30 (LAST TRAIN) . we missed the train and it cost us an extra £80 for taxi. we were fortunate that we had money to get home ,some people didnt. the concert was quite good but too many guitar solos which were good but i feel that they do so many to try and make a point that they dont need slash when the band is no were near as good without him. axls voice was at times better than i expected but some of the songs he realy struggled with ,knockin on heavens door was very poor vocally. i would never go to another gnr concert and i think the same could be said for 100s of other people who attended. the men arena which isnt very big wasnt near full and gnr will continue to see less and less people attend there concerts whilst they treat there fans this way . if i want to see a more proffesional gnr concert i would much prefer to go and see slash who at least appreciates his fans and was the real talent in the band .

This gig was absolutely awesome. Axel Rose has had a lot of negative press recently so I was sceptical about what to expect. However, I was absolutely blown away by it. Starting with the support band who were the best support band I have ever seen and really got the crowd going. As soon as G&R came on they rocked the stage - not too much chat and just hit after hit, note perfect, not a spot of arrogance in sight, fantastic guitar solos, pyrotechnics, fireworks and most importantly tonnes of singing from Axel Rose. What a showman. The only downside? because they come on stage late I had to miss the last 40 minutes in order to catch my last train, but I wouldn\'t say that is all G&R\'s fault - more London Transport!

To be honest, I was concerned of a number of things; such as Axl's voice sounding terrible, Axl walking offstage early or turning up late. However, this was probably one of the best performaces I have ever seen, I didn't want it to end and Axl built this connection with the crowd that it was just an electic performance. It compeltely hit me in the face why I love Guns N Roses and it hit me hard. I now can continue with my life happy in the fact that I managed to see a top GNR performace in my time. Wish I had a ticket for the event the next day..

So there was a lot of bad publicity about previous gigs, but GnR were absolutely amazing at the O2. Helped by a great venue, (which also sorted out free buses and trains after the gig), GnR were pitch perfect with a very happy AXL belting out the tunes better than ever. 2 1/2 hours flew by in what felt like minutes. Nice Boys and Nightrain, plus a rare outing for I.R.S sealed the night as the best arena gig I have been to. And I have been to a lot of gigs. I had standing tickets and easily got down the front, even with beers for my friends, so if your going to the o2, only get seats in the gods as a last resort, pay the extra with seatwave or get on the phone the minute tickets are on sale as the gig experience is sooooo much better. To sum up: A mutha F**king great night.

Im a lifelong fan of GnR, and missed out on seeing them at the Leeds Festival this year, so had to go to the o2 to see them. Where to start: in one word: AWESOME...! Thing is, there was far too much Chinese Democracy in it. Dont get me wrong, I know its the tour of the album, but the album is rubbish compared to the classic stuff. The whole set was over two and a half hours long, and 90 minutes of it was simply the best gig Ive ever been to, the rest of it (the chinese democracy part) was flat. One fantastic thing, Duff McKagan came on stage for a few songs and played the bass and rhythm guitar. Great night, only reason I gave it 4/5 and not the full fat 5, was too much new stuff.

What can I say? the good bits were great but there weren't enough of them... just about sums it up. Yes they were late on stage (not sure why its not big or clever..) so didn't come on till nearly ten..The show was great but unfortunately full of "what might have been moments.. Surely they open the show with "Welcome to the Jungle"? they didn't... they played it 2nd after some bore from the Chinese Democracy... Duff reunited with the group and played on "You could be mine".. in theory this is a massive deal? but this was just swept under the carpet....they used the same explosions that Macca Used when he played at the O2 on "Live and Let Die" but they weren't quiet in time...you get the picture. Axl is still a great performer and when he wants too he can really deliver but who dresses the guy? his 8 costume changes got more ridiculous as the show went on... Also far too much fat around the show- all the band members do totally extravagant solos which in the 80s might have worked but in 2010 are just dull..I've never listened to the Chinese Democracy and after the 8 songs from it I heard tonight I don't ever want too...Will they reform? don't know.... bit small elements of this show really want you to want them too..

Guns n Roses, hit after hit, some new stuff but mainly the old classics. a set list to die for, and probably three of the best (rock) songs ever written in welcome to the jungle, paradise city, and november rain. Will I be there, at the front, singing along? Heck yeah! now I just need to convince my other half to stump up for the GnR tickets!

Ive been a loyal guns n roses fan for years now, and recently saw the incredible slash show in Manchester at the academy. Im thinking of going to see the guns n roses men arena show, but Im slightly put off by the fact that the lineup is a bit weird. dont get me wrong, Im sure the show will be great, but the heart of the band isnt playing!

Axl Rose (real name: Bill Bailey!! Who'd have thought it!) is without any doubt, the best rock and roll singer of all time. When I first got into Guns n Roses in the late 80's (over twenty years ago now, jeez) there was no other vocal talent like him, and guess what, several decades later, there is still nobody to replace him! Guitarists come and go, and GnR have had a fair amount of that over the last few years, but Axl Rose is an irreplaceable frontman of rock. Slash's riffs, while legendary, are easily repeatable by any talented guitarist but nobody has ever come close to sounding as good as Axl himself. I cant wait to go and see Guns n Roses in London, going to bag myself some tickets right now to go see them. I have to travel all the way from South Wales which is a bit of a pain, but when you've got guns n roses tickets you just have to travel!

I saw Guns n Roses in London last time round, it was the old wembley stadium, the weather was fantastic, the lineup was original, the songs were great. Really want to go and see them again, but Im wondering if Axl & co are really as good without Slash in the band? I mean, talk about all time great guitarists! Guns n Roses Tickets are probably the most in demand of rock and roll fans anywhere in the world, apart from maybe ACDC who also command a huge following, but for me its GnR every time! The great thing about these concerts coming up I guess compared to the stadium gigs in other places, and historically, is that we will get to see one of the greatest rock bands of all time playing in a relatively small venue. I know the o2, men arena, and LG arena could hardly be called "small" but neither are they knebworth, Wembley Stadium or other massive outdoor events. so, use your illusions and snap up a ticket right now, before you end up in another spaghetti incident. Welcome to the jungle baby!

Guns n Roses Tickets finally! I can get to go and see one of the best bands in the history of rock, right here in London. Its an opportunity Ive been waiting for since the mid nineties but never managed to go and see Guns n Roses. Its just a shame that Slash wont be playing with them as far as I'm aware, I understand that Slash and Axl have "artistic differences" - in that Slash is one of the best guitarists the world has ever seen, and Axl is - well, enough said. So with Guns n Roses London Tickets being available right now, I am finally able to see my idols live in the flesh! I might even drive up to Birmingham and Manchester to see the events there as well, you know, compare the crowds ;-)

Guns N Roses were the best rock band to grace our stadiums and stereo's in the late eighties to early nineties. At the time they were playing to audiences of 100,000+ fans and their hits were truly amazing. As I missed out on Guns n Roses Tickets back in the day, I will absolutely be going to see Axl Rose and co. when they tour the UK, I just cant wait!
