Groove Armada
Andy Cato and Tom Findlay make up one of the UK’s most loved dance music duos, Groove Armada. This London based twosome have made some of the UK’s most epic dance music over the last ten years. They are also the creators of the now World famous dance festival, Lovebox which has developed from small beginnings into one Europe’s largest weekend dance fests. After releasing a few independent records in the late nineties, they hit the big time with their track “At the river” which sampled Patti Page and became a fixture on what at the time seemed like hundreds of tv shows, adverts and chill out compilations. They totally exploded in the early 2000’s with the success of their Lp “Goodbye country, Hello Nightclub” which saw a move to a much more up beat dance sound and their single “Super Stylin” blew up world wide and was nominated for a Grammy. Alongside the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Leftffield, Basement Jaxx – Groove Armada became a house hold name, as the age of Superstar DJs really took off. They took Dance music out of the dark nightclubs and into the festivals and more importantly living rooms and car stereos. Cato and Findlay have worked on a number of solo projects over the years, working with the likes of Sophie Ellis Bextor, Roisin Murphy and Mutya Buenya.
