A little known fact is that during his four years as drummer with Nirvana, Dave Grohl was writing a stockpile of his own material, even releasing a cassette of some of the songs in 1992 under the pseudonym Late! entitled Pocketwatch. The outcome of much of this writing was the formulation of the Foo Fighters in 1995. Keen to distance himself from his past associations, Grohl has forged his own path with Foo Fighters, scoring Best Rock Album Grammy’s for There Is Nothing Left to Lose and One by One.
