          Vampire Weekend

          Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend were formed in 2006, in New York and comprise of Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio.  They were picked up early on in their musical careers by the label XL, and were fortunate enough to be championed by Stereogum, the ever popular forecasters of future musical trends in the indie sphere, who named them as a band to watch as early as 2006, a full two years before they released their debut album, the eponymous "Vampire Weekend".  Their name is a reference to the amateur film that frontman Ezra Koenig directed and produced himself before the bands inception.  Their debut album was a moderate success in the US, where it peaked at a relatively lowly 17th place, and achieved the status of a gold disc, however it was much more of a success over here in the UK where it topped the indie charts, and went on to become a certified UK Platinum disc.  They have played the mainstage at a number of massive festivals here in Europe during the summer of 2010 and despite having been around now for nearly five years, Vampire Weekend are no doubt the band to watch in 2011, as they are just hitting the mainstream now thanks to their incredible live performances and latest album, released this year.  If you want to catch the New York indie sensation live, be sure to get your Vampire Weekend tickets right here on seatwave.com, Europe's largest 100% guaranteed fan to fan ticket exchange.  Buy your tickets on seatwave and get our famous TicketIntegrity guarantee on your Vampire Weekend tickets, and be sure to enjoy the show.

Just come back from the Blackpool gig. I saw them at glastonbury this year aswell and they just got better. This gig was amazing with the best song performances coming from Cousins, California English, A Punk and Oxford Comma. The support band RATATAT were also amazing. Overall a very enjoyable gig with all the old favourites in there 10/10

Saw them at the MTV gig @ Tutu's, Kings College Student Union. Great venue, no fillers. Great night. They are pretty geeky though.
