          Scissor Sisters

          Scissor Sisters

The Scissor Sisters are Back! Their blend of Disco and Glam first hit the UK in 2003, with a number of singles including “Laura”, “Comfortably Numb”, “Take your Mama” and “Filthy/Gorgeous”. Despite moderate success, none of the singles made the coveted number one slot, infact “Filthy/Gorgeous” was the only top 10 hit the band enjoyed in the UK until the release of their debut eponymous album, which was the hit of the year in 2004. The album went on to become the best selling album that year, beating Keane’s album Hopes and Fears by just five hundred copies. The album was incredibly successful, and is now in the top 50 albums of all time in the United Kingdom, selling millions of copies thanks to its catchy beats and disco anthems. Their live performances have been an incredible blend of audio/visual spectaculars, and surprising collaborations. They have to date performed live on stage in the UK with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Franz Ferdinand, and have appeared as a headline act at the V festival, and special guests on the main stage at Glastonbury. They haven’t had such metoric success in their native united states however, with public disagreement with major retailers about stocking their albums, which have been pulled from sale in some department stores in the US, most notably Wal-Mart. While they haven’t become superstars in their home country, thats all the better for us fans of the Scissor Sisters in the UK, because you can get your Scissor Sisters Tickets right here on Seatwave.com, Europe’s largest fan to fan ticket exchange. Saw the sisters at o2 last night. sorry but very disappointing. The sound quality was terrible and there was no atmosphere. It was so loud I thought my ears were going to bleed yet the vocals were totally muffled. Dull.
