        Jimmy Carr Tickets

Hot off the heels of Jimmy Carr’s latest sell-out tour, ‘Rapier Wit’ tickets are now available for the upcoming tour ‘Laughter Therapy’. Don’t miss out; grab your tickets today to see one of the UK’s most successful comedians! Now a household name, Carr, the Anglo-Irish comedian has achieved lots in his career since leaving his previous job as a marketing executive at Shell in 2000. Since then Carr’s deadpan style of comedy has been a roaring success. His first full-length show, Bare-Faced Ambition, was nominated for the Perrier in 2002; and he was named best stand-up at the Time Out Awards in 2003 and at the Laftas in 2004. At the same awards he was named ‘funniest man’ in 2005. Carr now famously tours his stand up-shows continuously over the year, earning him the title of the ‘hardest working man in British comedy. He has a huge fan base, with DVDs of his live shows selling over 150, 000 copies each. Jimmy Carr can now also count a number of well known celebrities amongst his fans, most famously Brandon Flower s from The Killers whom he supported on tour in 2009. Carr has equally found success in television. After winning the Royal Television Society Award for best on-screen newcomer in 2003 Carr has gone on to distinguish himself as one of our most recognisable and popular TV comedians. He is a former host of Channel 4’s ‘Friday Night Project’ and ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ and has presented a number of end of year review shows and one off specials such as The Big fat End of Year Quiz and Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night. The US has also embraced Carr’s dark humoured breed of comedy and Carr can count appearances on Tonight with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien as part of his Stateside success. Not one to rest ion his laurels, Carr is also known for his writing, acting and radio shows, most notably his Sunday morning show for London’s XFM which he presented up until 2006. Carr has also made a number of film appearances including Confetti, Alien Autopsy and Stormbreaker. He can also lay claim to fame as the first comedian in cyberspace, recently recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records after he performed in the virtual reality world of Second Life. With all these accolades to his name, Jimmy Carr earns his place as one of our most popular and successful comedians. Make sure you don’t miss out by taking the opportunity to see him on his latest tour.
