The poster childs of the indie backpack generation, Mos Def and Talib Kweli were the figure heads of the Hip Hop revolution led by New York's Rawkus records. Their LP "Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star" was released in 1998 to huge global acclaim and led to hugely successfull solo careers for them both.
