Ahmet Ertegün was the co–founder of and executive of Atlantic Records. He was born in Turkey, in 1923 and died in New York 2006, after injuring himself at a Rolling Stones Gig. As a highly respected and influential figure in the music industry, a tribute concert will take place in his memory.
Led Zeppelin will reunite for a one off show and other performers will included Pete Townshend, Foreigner, Paolo Nutini, Bill Wyman. The Rhythm kings will back the latter three acts and play a set themselves. The Ahmert Ertegün Tribute gig is being held to raise money for the Ahmet Ertegün Eduacation Fund. Being a part of this will mean being a part of music history.
